Chief Information Officer (CIO)

We are seeking an experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) to define and execute a strategic technology roadmap that enables business growth, operational excellence, and strong information security across the enterprise. The CIO will lead technology strategy, digital transformation, cloud adoption, data and AI initiatives, and vendor relationships while ensuring compliance and resilience for a global organization. This leader partners with executive stakeholders to align IT investments with corporate objectives, drive enterprise intelligence, and build high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a multi-year technology roadmap that aligns IT strategy with business goals and drives modernization, scalability, and innovation.
• Lead information security strategy and governance, including risk management, incident response, data protection, identity and access management, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage vendor and partner relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement and performance for strategic technology suppliers and professional services.
• Drive cloud strategy and operations (AWS, Azure and other platforms), ensuring secure, cost-effective use of cloud services and hybrid architectures.
• Champion data, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives to enable enterprise intelligence, informed decision-making, and new digital products or services.
• Oversee IT budgeting, financial management, and ROI analysis for major programs and capital investments.
• Build, mentor, and inspire a global IT organization; recruit talent, set clear objectives, and develop leadership across engineering, operations, security, and data teams.
• Establish and monitor KPIs and SLAs for service delivery, availability, performance, and security to ensure reliable operations and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate cross-functional programs with business units to deliver digital transformation, system integrations, and customer-facing technology solutions.
• Develop and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical systems and data.
• Represent the IT function with board members and executive leadership, communicating technology risks, opportunities, and the value of IT investments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a CIO or senior IT leadership role with responsibility for technology strategy, operations, security, and vendor management.
• Demonstrable track record creating and executing multi-year technology roadmaps that delivered measurable business outcomes.
• Strong expertise in information security, risk management, and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Experience managing large vendor ecosystems, negotiating complex contracts, and overseeing professional services engagements.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Knowledge of data, analytics, enterprise intelligence, and AI/ML concepts with experience sponsoring or delivering data-driven initiatives.
• Experience leading global teams and operating in multi-region, multicultural environments.
• Excellent stakeholder and change management skills with experience influencing executive and board-level audiences.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA or MS) preferred.
• Relevant certifications a plus (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PMP, TOGAF) and experience with ITIL or other service management frameworks.
• Strong financial acumen, vendor management skills, and the ability to balance innovation with security and operational discipline.
